The Bauer NE Bluetooth Smart Lock brings modern, keyless convenience to RV entry doors while maintaining the reliability and security RV owners expect. With integrated Bluetooth connectivity, the lock allows users to unlock and secure their RV directly from their smartphone using the Bauer mobile app, turning a phone into a secure digital key.

In addition to smartphone access, the lock features a durable backlit keypad for PIN-based entry and a traditional key override for backup access. Designed specifically for the RV environment, the NE lock installs easily as a replacement for many standard RV door locks and operates on standard batteries, providing a simple upgrade that adds smart functionality without complex wiring.

Built for everyday RV use, the Bauer NE combines convenience, flexibility, and rugged durability. Whether arriving at the campsite, managing access for family members, or securing the RV before heading out, the lock provides multiple ways to access and control the door with confidence.

Using Zephyr enables a clean separation between application logic and low-level hardware functionality. The lock firmware leverages Zephyr’s Bluetooth stack and driver framework to handle wireless communication, keypad input, motor control, and battery monitoring while maintaining deterministic real-time behavior. This architecture simplifies development, improves maintainability, and ensures consistent behavior across firmware updates.

By building the firmware on Zephyr, the platform benefits from an actively maintained open-source ecosystem with strong support for modern Bluetooth features and embedded security. This approach allows the product to evolve over time through firmware updates while maintaining the stability and reliability required for a production access control device.
