The smart Pipeline Water Control is battery-powered irrigation valve that connects to the underground GARDENA pipeline system to seamlessly deliver water to every corner of your garden.

The “smart” part is the scheduling. It has a data-driven schedule assistant that uses real-time weather data and a plant library to work out how much water your plants need. It can also be paired with a smart sensor for accurate soil moisture measurements. It’s compatible with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and more, and works with either the GARDENA smart App or the GARDENA Bluetooth app.

”When we started developing the next generation of GARDENA smart irrigation controllers, support for Nordic's nRF54L15 and some Zephyr features were still evolving. We trusted that the ecosystem would mature in time for production, and it did. Zephyr's modular architecture, particularly Kconfig and Devicetree, enabled us to build a common firmware platform for three products and future developments.

We were especially impressed by the excellent low-power performance achieved with minimal custom implementation. The straightforward upstream contribution process and continuous improvements from the Zephyr community were also valuable throughout development.
