Recap of the Zephyr Project meetup in Austin, Texas

By August 1, 2024No Comments

On July 10, 2024, we had a Zephyr Project meetup at Jester King Brewery in Austin, Texas. The event brought together people from the embedded systems community for an evening of comparing notes, connecting, and fun.

The meetup began with introductory talks by Kate Stewart (The Linux Foundation) and Rob Oshana (Analog Devices), who shared updates about the Zephyr Project and the community, providing valuable insights into current developments and future plans.

Hosted by Analog Devices, the event highlighted how they are contributing to the Zephyr Project and shared their insights into their innovative topics.

Janel Kratky coordinated the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Several participants attended, engaging in discussions and activities. They received development boards to try out Zephyr OS, allowing both new and experienced developers to explore Zephyr’s features and collaborate on projects.

The relaxed setting of Jester King Brewery facilitated informal networking, with attendees enjoying local craft beers and having the chance to meet and talk with others in the community.

What’s next:

Our next Zephyr project meetup at Austin will be during Embedded World North America in Austin, Texas, sponsored by NXP Semiconductors and we look forward to more learning and networking opportunities at this event.

Thank you to everyone who attended the meetup at Jester King Brewery, and we hope to see you at the next event!
