We are getting ready for embedded world North America, which takes place on Oct 8-10 in Austin, Texas. It’s the first time the event to take place in North America and we are excited to see you there. We’ve got lots of activities planned at the conference – here’s a sneak peak….
Get Coding in the BYOES Workshop
On Tuesday, October 8 at 9:30 am – 12:30 pm, we invite you to a Hands-on Workshop: Embedded Development using Zephyr & Open Source Tooling. This 3-hour hands-on workshop will introduce attendees to ADI’s solutions that address this complexity challenge, based on open-source tooling (GCC, GNU build tools), ecosystems (Zephyr, etc.), and config and debug tooling (VS Code, etc.). Attendees will receive a MAX32690-based development platform, which is yours to keep. This Arduino form-factor kit includes a HW debugger, and a high-performance MEMs accelerometer breakout to sample data from. Learn more and register here.
Keynote: Building for Sustainable Development Goals with Open Source
On October 9 at 10:05 – 10:50 am in the Ballroom A, Level 1, Kate Stewart, VP of Dependable Embedded Systems at The Linux Foundation, will give a keynote presentation.
In this presentation, you’ll hear how programs such as the Zephyr Project are helping product makers meet these emerging requirements and how its ecosystem is making resource-constrained innovation possible. You’ll hear about best practices that should be looked at in an open-source project, as well as what could go wrong along the way and should be avoided. And we’ll talk about what the future of projects like these must contain to achieve success in addition to an industry leading semiconductor company is among these collaborators and is poised to unveil advancements in its software and security offerings at Embedded World NA.
See Zephyr RTOS in Action
The Zephyr Project will be inside the ADI booth #2304. Ambassadors will be on hand to talk about how you can accelerate innovation with open source.
Zephyr recently passed more than 100,000 contributions and launched its 3.7 Long Term Support (LTS) Release. Learn how to contribute to this open-source project, participate in discussions, and access community resources. Join our vibrant community and collaborative ecosystem and learn how Zephyr is being used at ADI to solve industry challenges and drive innovation. And yes – there will be stickers and kites!
Let’s Meet up
Join the Zephyr community meetup on October 9, 2024 from 5:30 pm -7:00 pm at Capital Factory (701 Brazos St, Austin). Hosted by NXP Semiconductors, this gathering is for anyone who’s curious about Open Source, Embedded Systems Programming, and Software Development. There will be presentations based on products running Zephyr, subsystems and features you might not have heard of yet. Expand your network and delve deep into the realm of dependable, low-power embedded systems. Whether you’re an experienced expert or just stepping into these fascinating areas, this meetup provides the perfect platform for everyone!
